Dr Sieu Khuu has been appointed as the new Deputy Head of School for the School of Optometry and Vision Science. Sieu is a Senior Lecturer and teaches Vision Science in both the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at the School.
Dr Sieu Khuu is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Optometry and Vision Science, and will take up the role of Deputy Head of School in 2017. Dr. Khuu obtained his PhD in Psychology from the University of Western Australia in 2003 and joined UNSW in 2008 after five years at the University of Hong Kong as a Research Assistant Professor. Dr Khuu has had numerous service roles in the school as well as the faculty having served as Director of Teaching, Vision Science Honours Coordinator, Postgraduate Course Work Coordinator and was a member of the Faculty Education Committee. Dr Khuu teaches Vision Science in both undergraduate and postgraduate programs, particularly in courses that focus on visual neuroscience and research methods. His research is focussed on understanding the basic mechanisms of visual perception and how they can be effectively measured using psychophysical methods.
